So my a/c just stopped blowing cold air. The fan works (its blowing air),the heater works( even though not as strong as before) its just not blowing ice cold air anymore. I think it happened after I went to work, the aux fan was still working to cool the engine and when I started my car I noticed the a/c didnt work anymore. And now the aux fan comes on more often after trips.
I have read a few threads about the common a/c problems but is it possible that there`s just a loose wire or something?

 

I haven't had that problem with the MINI, but the last time I had what you described on another cars it was due to a loss of refrigerant charge, and a new full charge fixed it.

It could also be due to a lose wire or broken switch, or a dead A/C compressor.
