I have 2008 Mini Cooper S automatic with tiptronic. Check Engine light came up and running scan shows the following two codes:
P1774 Manufacturer Ctr - Transmission
P1775 Manufacturer Ctr - Transmission

Can someone please help me identify what is the issue and how to fix it?
I appreciate all responses in advance.

 

If you are at less than 50K miles take it to the dealer and have it fixed you are still under warranty.

Other wise I would take it to a transmission shop as those codes are for the Transmission but i can not find an exact meaning for them. the P177x numbers are for CAN Transmission Interface according to BMW. So there are a number of things it could be.

 

Thank you for your reply. I think this is an issue with trans ECU as the car shifts gears. I tried it already since I have the car on jack stands. I am able to shift all the way up and down with no issues. So it must be some kind of sensor that went bad.
