Hi,

I've recently had a weird sound coming from the transmission. Whenever the car was warm, running or not, you could hear a squeaky spring-like sound coming from there. Dealer said it was a pressure plate and replaced the clutch, flywheel, but according to the paperwork not the throwout bearing?... Anyways, the noise is back... The car blew a tire and is at the shop right now and I will get a phone call tomorrow, but for now, does anyone have any idea what's going on?

Also, is it normal that the new clutch is very soft? I hope it will harden over time. I liked the idea that the clutch in my MCS was heavier than in my M Coupe! Better feel!

Perhaps a review of this thread will provide some insight into the squeaky-sounding clutch pedal?

Also, I've seen reports on the forum that the newer (starting with MY 2011) have a lighter feel; I imagine the replacement clutches will be coming from the same batch now.

Also, I've shown the manager the page, but they said the sound is coming from the outside and those are some interior clutch pedal assembly pieces.

They've ordered a slave cylinder in hope it will solve the problem.
