S.O.S. multiple issues - won't start / dash lights stay on / etc

I went back to the 42 pin connector cleaned it again and got the black piece off the pins side and there was a lot of corrosion so I cleaned that all out and its all good now thanks for the help

There is a hole in the connector from where it melted but I cleaned it and it looks fine do recommend replacing it or just use that..

That is a call all your own. Of course always better to replace an electrical connector housing that has shorted / melted through! - esp if there is even the slightest chance of ANY moisture getting anywhere near there again! But I'm sure some have tried to plug / fill those voids and hope / pray all is well for the years to come... again, your call bro.

If you think you've done enough to fix the source of the leak, and sufficiently protect the connector, enjoy the ride... but I don't think any of us can or would make that call for you.
