Reset ECU = Smoother/ Faster?

I finally saw a thread on how to do this. I got the car used from a woman here in Texas and it was all stock and poorly maintained. I put in an Alta CAI, WMW ignition pack and replaced all fluid.

Ive been driving with these mods for around 3000 miles and just now reset my ECU to help the computer learn new mods and a different driving style than the previous owner. Is it placebo or did it actually help out?

I reset mine about once a month, it definitely drives differently. Less herky/jerky afterward for a while.

Every time you reset the ECU, you're forcing the computer to relearn fuel usage and your driving habits. If you see a degredation in performance after a period of time, you might have issues that are being ignored.
