no crank/cut the belt, now it cranks

so the engine wouldn't crank or turn at all, which lead me to believe i had a bad starter. so i knew i had to get the old starter out & get a new one in. after i pulled the old starter & checked it i knew that was the problem. put the replacement in & the same thing is happening. wtf

thats when i got worried Im thinking the engine is shoot or supercharger is done, i had to see if the engine was locked up so i then turn the crank & it was really hard to turn. so i tried the other way & it moved freely. thats when i cut the belt & it cranked. all pulleys moved they weren't seized, but when i pulled the belt off it was tight & hard to pull out. so my question is would the tensioner do this or what? should i change all pulleys? car has 60k

Can you turn over SC by hand?
Pull plugs and see what they look like.
Could be tensioner but not many reports of them seizeing.

SC turns, it feels like its ok. no way was the SC preventing the engine from cranking. definitely not seized, im thinking the belt tensioner clamp down on the belt some how. something was holding the belt really tight.

its raining now, i cant wait to see whats going on with this car!
