Power Steering fan fuse
Power Steering fan fuse
Where is it? Got a new fan on our daughter's 2005 Justa. It does not run. Thought the fuse was the most likely culprit but the diagrams do not identify it or its location.
Thanks folks.
Thanks folks.
The ps fan only runs in SOME cirmstancances....
The fact is does not always/obviously run may not indicate an issue...
The fan should run if the AC is on or the radiator fan is running on HI ( I think).
Check to see if you actually have an issue before thinking you have a bigger issue...
Many folks on thee boards have "found issues" that they think they have as budding auto trouble repairmen....costing $$ and time to "fix" when things are ok.
Just be certain you have an issue before spending more $$.

PS
the fuse on my 2005 S
Modified by the dealer (in was built late 2004 as a 2005) is in the interior fuse pane..a 5 amp fuse I think....all 2005+ productionshould be set up the same. Rear most row, botto fuse plugged in I think.

The PS fan relay might be faulty if the fuse is good. The PS fan relay is located behind the left kick panel (driver's foot-well). Remove the cover, the fuse panel and turn it over. According to the Bentley manual, the relay is K69923.
On 2005 cars, or any car modified by mini to fix the ps fan blowing the radiator fan problem, the fuse is in the car...
My 2004 production, 2005 year was delevered with the old harness, then "updated" to the 2005 build standard by my forward thinking proactive dealer...
With the old wiring ...2004 and earlier/unmodifed, the fan ps fan could jam, causing the radiator fan to stop when the fuse blew...it shared a fuse...causing the car to overheat quickly without motion or in hot weather.
With the mod/newer cars, the ps fan and the back-up warning ( if installed) usually shares a fuse....
