My MCCs just got done a checkup, and I had mentioned that the drivers headlight was blinking 3 times at startup, and I have had episodes of Lamp warning lights and once the directional was blinking 6 times fast instead of the normal 3 times slow for a whole trip.

They SA said that it was a bad FRM(?) Module that was bad because the drains in the sunroof were not draining properly and the water was draining down into the module.

This is more of a FYI post than a "What is wrong now?" post!

Milage is 39,000

Also fixed:
Belt Tensioner
Broken Hood Release Latch
New Intake for rough cold idle
Door sill plate that was peeling off

To Be Done later:
Need to get unpainted Hood Scoop Painted and installed
Drivers Rear window bottom 3 defrost wires not working, need to set up appt with dealer for 3rd party to install new glass

 

Yeah the Sunroof drains can be a problem and if they are clogged water will enter the car. Seems a common problem on many makes and models though.

As for a wet FRM module - Yeah that could cause the problems with the lights

Door sill plate - seems to be a common problem as well

Intake another sort of common problem - not as much so as the others above

Broken hood latch - not such a common problem that I can remember. but hey it is mechanical and mechanical things break.
