Hey smillinsteve. It's very easy to take the lens off the head lights. It took me like 2 minutes with a hair dryer. I also buffed out the old yellow headlights and put a new clear coat on it looks brand new. But it is a lot easier to swap the lens but cheaper to sand buff and clear.

 

I wanted the used replacement unit for parts. The lens has a problem with fogging especially in the desert where I am at. The sand here is heavily comprised of quartz which is even harder than glass or plastic. After a few years here the windshields even need replacing because the quartz sand creates a speckled surface on the windshield.

 

I have xenons with washers; is it possible to replace with non-washer xenons? I've had problems with those jets breaking in the past, during icy Chicago winters.
