Which synthetic oil do you guys think are best. I have a friend who owns a porche boxster and has run Redline sythetic and claims the engine runs cooler and "feels" more powerful than before. Anyone have any input?

Mobil 1 is not synthetic for starters. Redline or Amsoil are mucho better.

Mobil 1 is synthetic although the new formula is probably not as good as the old formula. Castrol Syntec is not synthetic.

A racing friend suggested Synergyn 0/20, uses it in his daily driver. It's hard to find and expensive (@12.00 per quart) but he says its worth every penny for your car.

BMW/MINI developed a synthetic motor oil specifically for the MINI. You can purchase it through your local MINI service department.
