Ok gents,

My car sounds like I have something stuck in a tire, but it only does it when it's in gear. The clicking sound changes with wheel speed, but not engine speed. So, I can coast down the highway and everything sounds fine. As soon as I throw it into 5th, the clicking sound comes back. If I let off the throttle with it in gear, the sound gets much quieter, but it's still there. Another loop: I put the front end up on jack stands and had my g/f put the car in gear and start spinning the wheels. Did it through 1st and 2nd without making a sound at all.

Any ideas?
