High RPM, EML, SES light (permanently on), limp mode

obd2 codes
p1688
p0326

So as I'm driving and climbing revs quickly on my r53, I will hit somewhere like 5400 rpm and get an eml followed by limp mode. If i shut the car off, and turn her back on, she's good to go.

i can driver normally around no problems, but permanent SES light

any suggestions?

Check your crank shaft pulley as it might be going out. also the 0326 code is for the Knock sensor. Knock sensor might register cel because of bad crank shaft pulley.to check pulley, mark pulley with chalk line from crankshaft bolt to drive belt.run engine and inspect marks. Chalk marks misalign if pulley fails. Also could be electronic throttle actuator. These diagnostics come from the Bentley Diagnosis without Guesswork Book. Hope this gives you some info.

P1688 is a boost leak after the charger. Usually the bypass valve, but sometimes the map or T-map sensors.

had the same problem. it was my harmonic balancer failing > which also lead to the o2 sensors failing.

Just got mine out of the shop for the exact same problem. I was posting on here for a while and was not getting any luck. Had me freaking out about everything from faulty supercharger to anything else.

Same codes as you and same symptoms, ended up being a bypass valve replacement and an update to the ECU. When it was all said and done I was out 600 bucks and happy to be back on the road again. Hope it helps.
