Another Option for a Repair Manual

Hi everyone,

I came across this somewhat by accident, so I thought I would post it here. This repair manual has a lot of good information, much better than the Haynes-Chilton manuals or the All Data service that I have used in the past for other cars.

Take care.

Members, beware of clicking on this poster's passing on this site...it's a possible SCAM!! If I'm wrong, I apologize....but did a quick Google search (eautorepair.net) and you can read it for yourself.....

First time poster and trying to tout a repair for money site....smells fishee to me...

From the other reviews, better to get a Bentley or other reputable information material...others can't get a refund despite the "cheap cost" and some pointed out, it didn't know about where the gas door was located or certain repairs are so useless..

Fail!

Maybe the OP could tell us the cost, his experiences, etc....

RE Another Option

It sounds like Steve20607 is a bit paranoid to me. My experience was that the site was not a scam, and I don’t have any affiliation with the owners of the website that I posted a link to in the original post. As I stated in the original post, I found the website somewhat by accident (a link from NAPA Auto Parts), and I did not see any discussion of it on this site, so I decided to post a link.

Generally, it cost me about $30 for a one year subscription that covers one vehicle, although I believe that you can purchase a ten day subscription for around $10. The information available from the website (Mitchell) is much more detailed than what is available from All Data (which in my experience is almost useless), or from the Haynes-Chilton manuals that I have used in the past with other vehicles, which are typically not specific to a particular year-model.

The one feature that I particularly like about the Mitchell website that I posted a link to in the original post was that they provide you with a number of pictures-diagrams provided by the manufacturer (in this case they are all from BMW), which is something that you don’t typically get from other sources.

If anybody has compared the Mitchell manual to the Bentley or Haynes manual, I would be interested in your thoughts, as I have not had a chance to read either the Haynes or Bentley manual for my 06 Cooper S.

Take care,
