With that charcoal filter, forget about using air fresheners. It sucks the good smells right outta there in a day. I sprayed my air freshener 3 times in 2 weeks before i realized why it wasn't lasting.

Why does my BMW/Mini Parts department want $84 for a cabin air filter? This doesn't sound right, what a rip off!

Total rip off! Even worse, the dealer wanted to charge me $150 to change it!

Took me less than a minute!

The filter from Autohaus Arizona is the BMW/MINI filter. Same manufacturer and same part numbers.

For those of you that are wondering if your cabin filter is dirty, you can check it from the engine bay. Open the battery hatch, and look down behind towards the passenger footwell and you can see it. If it looks dirty, its time to change it! Just remember that the activated carbon filter starts out with a 'dirty' gray look to it...
