TPMS Warning Light
TPMS Warning Light
So, I changed out my summer tires for my winter set and now the TPMS warning light is iluminated. Neither sets have TPMS sensors, so why would it be illuminated? Will it go off on it's own?
I believe your system uses the ABS sensors to detect a difference in tire circumference to alert you to a possible deflated tire. You should be able to reset the system with the button under the handbrake, unless the '05 is different from the '04. My owner's manual says to reset the system whenever changing the tire pressure or swapping tires. Could be your system is remembering the previous tires and is recognizing the new ones as a problem.
However, I recently installed new Blizzak LM60's on new wheels and didn't have the warning light come on. Bit confusing.....

Eric's got it. I've had several false positives, once at the track after increasing the tire pressure. Just reset it (IIRC, turn car on, press and hold TPMS button under parking brake, light goes off, motor on.)
