Tech question about alternator

Since the alternator is attached directly to the block wouldn't that be a REALLY big deal to replace should the need arise? I plan on motoring well past 100k miles.

Call the dealer and ask them what the time estimate is
for replacing the alternator.

That should give you some information on how hard it might be.

And then, let us know.

The alternator is a 105 amp Denso alternator. Good stuff, that should last at least 100k. Replacement would require removal of the radiator-a/c condensor assembly, but that is not too difficult.

I like Denso alternators, I have one in mj Jeep and it worked like a champ, though it did give up the ghost after 120,000 miles and a muddy bath
