I got only one key/fob with my 2003. I would really like a second, even if it is not with the remote fob.

Is there any way to get a key made, other than thru a dealer?

I see blanks for sale on eBay, but wonder if there is any place that can cut these unusual keys.

 

YOU CAN GET THEM CUT (it is a bit of a specialty, but severe types of cars share a similar key system, check with a locksmith)....but that is not the issue.....They are chipped...the 03' are not as bad as the 05+ cars with the newer style key-fob...they changed the anti-theft chip when they made the change...IMO, just pay the dealer the $$ to get a spare key, you know 100% it will work....just be sure to bring all keys with you when you get the new one activated...they all must be paired with the computer.
There is thread around here...somebody I think ,got it to work...but for the time involved, and the chance of it not working...might be a bit of a risk.
