Hello, recently bought a 03' mini and have been lurking the site for awhile. The main issue I'm having with the car is my passenger side headlight works only about 25% of the time. Bulb is fine, tested with a new bulb and nothing. If it turn them on after I've been driving for a while sometimes it comes on. The tail lights only come on if I tap the covers....i turn them on, get out of the car and bump the covers and then they turn on. I've pulled out the bulbs, tried new ones, made sure all the connections are tight and am still dumb founded! Maybe someones had these issues before? I need to get these problems addressed so I can put the car up for sale. Thank you in advance!!

 

Headlight is a Xenon or standard Halogen ?
If you bump the cover for the tail lights sounds like a loose connection. Check the circuit board where the bulbs are installed. May want to use a Multi meter and shake the assembley. Check it for corrosion/water in the bulb sockets and on the board. Also check the wiring harness and the pins in the connector for tightness and water/corrosion
