Negative Terminal Sparking

Anyone one else ever notice a lot of sparks when putting the negative terminal on a fully charged battery? I've only noticed this in mini's.

Reviving old thread.... Sorry...

Yesterday I noticed this also while trying to reset my MCS to see if my door locks "synchronize" (didn't work btw) but I noticed a few sparks while setting the negative terminal on the battery.

Any ideas?

TIA!

Most cars spark when re-attaching the negative cable. The more "behind-the-scenes" modules you have the more spark you get. They went from having no power to OH HEY POWER! Things like the DME, CAS, Lamp Module Battery monitor etc are all now awake and adding demand to the battery. Not a big deal.
