Clutch slave cylinder bleed nut is plastic
Clutch slave cylinder bleed nut is plastic
Just posting this so someone else might not be as boneheaded as me. I went to bleed my clutch today and treated it like every other bleed job I have ever done on a clutch or brakes (bad plan). I opened it the first time and when I tightened it, I felt it crack. I bled it 3 more times and when I tightened it for the final time, I broke it off. I know what you are thinking, but I was not putting much pressure on it at all (yea, thats what we all say right). Anyway, if you are doing this, be careful and just barely tighten that sucker. It is delicate. The good news for me is that I had finished the bleed job and it broke when I tightened it, so at least it works for now. I am still going to replace the slave cylinder next time I pull the battery box though. Hope this helps (or at least give you a laugh at my expense)
they did the same thing with the radiator bleed screws. the one on the top heater hose on mine is completely rounded, luckily it is tight and not leaking.
