Engine Swap

HI
I have a question about my friends car, he has a 2002 mini cooper that he blew the engine, now he found an engine from a 2003 mini cooper s without the supercharger, is it a good engine swap? keep in mind he wants to keep it stock meaning he doesnt want the supercharger, i would appreciate any input thank you

That wouldn't be ideal: it has a different piston compression ratio, as well as some plumbing differences. You're better off finding a Cooper motor.
