whenever i open the window or the sunroof, i get a buzzing noise
from the passenger door arm rest area. when i pull
on the armrest bar or the map holder area, the buzz dissappears.
i want to add insulation inside.

How do you remove the passenger door panel? thanks.

(btw, i did a search and read through the various rattle/buzz
posts).

found it!

In a nutshell:

Pry off the tweeter ring.

Remove the 4 screws holding the door panel on (3 obvious - one hidden behind the round reflector - pop it off with a flatheat screwdriver).

At the bottom of the door, pull/pry the door panel away from the door. It's held with expansion clips that will pop as you go across the bottom and up each side.

Once the bottom and sides are free, lift the door panel from the bottom toward you and it will swing up like it's on a hinge at the bottom of the window. Then lift it off the top.

i * think* i found the source of the buzzing inside the door.
(it was a buzz/ticking noise coming from inside the door
panel caused by air pressure inside the cabin while the
windows were cracked or rolled open. even the sunroof for that
matter).

When the weathering seal that wraps around the sheetmetal
panel oval opening inside the door moves inwards/outwards
aginst the plastic door panel, the friction made a
ticking/buzzing noise inside the seal itself. i peeled off the
seal (just friction mounted), put duct tape around the metal
oval opening all the way around the primeter as to thicken the
sheetmetal, then put the seal back on over the tape. much
less ticking noise while pushed/pulled back with my fingers.

I also taped down a couple loose black styrofoam pieces inside
the door just incase.

put the doorpanel back on, took it for a test drive, and as
far as I could tell the noise is gone.
