Radiator Support Question

I recently replaced my fan and noted that the Radiator Support is broken and needs replacement. It was unclear to me if the Air Conditioner Condenser has to be removed to replace the Radiator Support. It looked to me like it just might be possible to get the job done without having to break the integrity of the air conditioning system. If you have replaced your Radiator Support, please let me know if there is sufficient room to flex the condenser hoses and get the job done.

Thanks,

Do a search on "service mode" and I think you will find the answer to your question.

When I replaced my radiator support, or Modular Front End, I had the aircon discharged (it must be discharged by a shop with the right collection system.) It might not have been absolutely necessary, but I feel that it made it easier, and I didn't want to risk damaging the condenser and hoses as I bent them through the opening of the MFE.

Now that my work is complete, I will answer my own question for the use of others:

It is possible to replace your Radiator Support without breaking the integrity of the air conditioning system. I found that by supporting the condenser from above it was not very difficult to get the radiator and support removed from the car without removing the condenser.
