My clutch

I have a 2004 Mini cooper base model. The clutch is getting replaced, but I am having to get the parts. The mechanic is telling me that we need to replace the "sleeve" and I have looked and called everyone. I am pretty sure he has the name wrong. Could this be the Input shaft? And if so or not where would I find it. He said that it was in pretty bad shape.

There is a sleeve that should be replaced. It is item 3 in the picture from realOEM.com. It is called the Guide Bush in the parts list.

I usually go to realoem.com. You can enter your specific model, year, and build date to search for the part. The sleeve is in the transmission section. I used R50, 2004, Aug build as a guess when I searched for the picture. From realoem you can obtain the part number. With the part number you can order from somewhere such as pelicanparts.com or penskeparts.com. penskeparts.com also has parts diagrams and part numbers like realoem and you can ordered the parts from penske but I have not used them yet.

We can get you the sleeve, but I know I've got several used ones to save you a few bucks. For OEM parts we either carry it in stock or can get it for you.
