Do these wear out at 36K miles?? When I put new pads on my 06 Mini S I noticed that the spacing distance on the pins is different top verses bottom. (the gap you see)

When the brakes are applied the caliper will twist to even out the gap. It seems like the pin bushings are warn.

Any thoughts.

 

 

FYI- The brass spacers above were too long for my calipers so they move within the caliper instead of sliding on the caliper bolt.

Not so much that they wear out but are a bad design. My first set of rear pads wore much faster on the inside.
