How do I take off the rear tail lamp assembly

Just bought an 06 mini convertible. right rear brake light out. while taking out the 3-bulb assembly, the back-up light broke off and is now stuck in the bottom of the tail lamp assembly. How do I remove the whole plastic assembly?

Look inside the little area where you change the bulbs. See the two small nuts on the housing? Remove these and pull the housing out from outside the car. You'll notice that the housings have long bolts that are attached to them. These go through the brackets inside the car and the small nuts attach to. Does this make sense to you? It's the best way I can describe it right now.

Theres only one nut holding it in. You'll see the long stud coming off the tail light, remove the 10mm nut from that. Then there are two tabs that lock the tail light in. They are on the tail light between the light and the outer quarter panel. Reach in where the bulb holder was and push them down, when they are both down the light will pop free.
