Key Fob Rattle

Hi All-
I cant find this in the search. My mini is a few weeks old and I love it. What I hate is my key fob rattles in the ignition slot while I drive. I wanted to know if any of you guys have had this issue and what you might have done to fix it.

Other rattle, just going to throw this out there. The door lock knub that comes out the top of the door pannel is squeaking. I know why it is, it's a gloss plastic surounded by another glossy plastic so if threre is any moister in the air it just causes friction as they rub. I lock the doors but it only limits the amount of squeak.

Mini's and there rattles as I have read and learned they aint perfect.

I have push button start so the fey fob gets inserted into a slot on the dash. I assumed all 07 on up had this. But thats where the rattle comes from.

if you have a key ring attached to the fob that is probably what is rattling. The fob socket is spring loaded so there should be no possibility of the fob rattling in the slot.

BTW all 07 and newer have push button start.

And BTW my MINI does not have any rattles and the only time it did was right after putting the doors back together frorm a speaker replacement. Fixed that up right away and no other rattles have shown up. So the cars can be rattle free.

Nope nothing on the key ring. That was my first thought, the dealership put one of there little tags on it so I removed it. I have pulled the key out of the fob as well when driving and that doesn't solve it. Sounds like my spring may be a bit weak, I will add it to my list when I bring it in for the system to be reflashed.
