Loose Gas Cap Cover help

My gas cap hinge arm is loose and im wondering if anyone out there has any DIYs to fix this. I have searched and found nothing on here. When I open the gas cap cover the arm moves up and down and is very loose. Any help would be wonderful.

Not sure the mounting tox bolts can be accessed thru the gas door opening...Removal of the inner plastic fender panel or wheel liner may be in order.

anyone have any more ideas? Im having issues getting the black cover off the gas tank opening, and it looks like it is all one piece. I have the #16 off and now its just trying to get #15 off to see what im really dealing with.

I bumped my gas cap yesterday and snapped off the hinge. Now I need to pull the hinge and replace it. This promises to be a pain.

Any tips/steps for taking the hinge completely off?

Thanks.
