Bluetooth problem? and ipod resume play problem?
So I wanted to see if this is happening to anyone else.
So i will be listening to Ipod/Iphone and get a phone call and answer it. When the phone call ends sometimes my iphone does not resume play sometimes it
does.
2nd issue some times if im getting the car and make a phone call before the car is full started then I cant hear the person talking in the phone or on the speakers even if I select for it to go through my phone.
This is super annoying
do you think it is defective or just another quirky Mini thing?

Most odd quirks like the resume play issue go away with a power cycle/reset of the phone.
On the 2nd issue, until the Bluetooth system in the Mini is up and running fully it doesn't start transmitting audio back and forth. My Blackberry will connect as soon the car is on, however- and until the car is ready I get about thirty seconds dead air- most people hang up on me before the car is ready. Based on your description I'm not sure if this is what you're experiencing though- if so, it's normal.

No luck with the reset , I even restored it.
I have never seen this on any other car , so to get thisbstraight if im getting into my car and im on the phone it is acceptable to get cut off of the conversation for 30 seconds? Why not let me talk through the phone that time , it should not cut me off totally.
Thoughts?

Do you have another phone to test it against?
It is what it is, unfortunately. I could run out to your car and start it 30 seconds before you want to drive; all reasonable offers considered
Thoughts?
I think you're experiencing abnormal behavior. I was talking on my Blackberry today as I walked up to my month-old MINI. When I inserted my "key", the car powered up as normal (although I had not started it yet). My MINI and my BB immediately paired up and I was able to continue talking and listening through the MINI's audio system ... no delay. Standard audio (no Nav).
Sorry, but I can't comment on the iPhone issue. My iPod works perfectly, before and after I make or receive a call via Bluetooth. Good luck.

Hmm- thanks for the additional info, I've experienced this with both mine and my wife's Blackberry- I don't remember experiencing this with our RAZR, but it's been a couple years since I've used it. I have an 07 MCS with convenience access and nav, with about ~500 phone numbers/250 contacts to sync, the delay could be related to the address book sync.
Veg1515, do you have a large number of contacts as well?

I have maybe 70-100 contacts
I use my car for work and im on the phone all day so I am in and out of the car a ton. I hope I can find a fix for this.
I would not care about the delay in bluetooth, but during that time it will not let me use my phone.
Thanks to all for the info!
