Normal or Abbie Normal?

Hey all.

New 10 MCS owner here and have an interesting one:
If I drive the car for a limited distance and park it, after shut down, there is a high pitched whirring or fan like noise - it almost sounds like a "Dustbuster" running.
After a few mins, it goes away. My thoughts are it's the turbocharger winding down and it's a normal condition. Or is it Abbie Normal?

Our cars (read: The Hood Star brand) don't make these noises.

Please weigh in with your answers, opinions, flames etc!!

Normal, it's just the fan cooling the engine.

The cooling fan and water pump to turbo can run on for a few minutes after turning off. Normal.

Thanks all for such a quick reply.
Yeah, I thought it was a normal condition also but man when you first take home a new car, it can freak you out!!
Especially if you are not expecting it or used to it!!
