My MINI is an r56 MCS US version that I imported from the US. June 2009, CEL came out and I have tried a couple of things already. New plugs, New fuel filter, drained the gas and put in new one.

It's already April 2010 and nobody knows how to fix my car yet. As of last count, there are 7 US version R56 mini's here having the same problem. Any suggestion on what to do? This is really frustrating since no fix have been found and we cannot dispose of our cars. Who in their right minds would buy a used mini with CEL.

HPFP? My friend had the dealership change his HPFP to the new one with the new part number but still, result wasn't good.

Dealer's conclusion is our US version MINI's are NOT suited for Philippine fuel. Thus causing the CEL. Local units being sold are Euro models according to them.
