Battery Light on - After Tranny replace
Battery Light on - After Tranny replace
I had the tranny rebuilt, fried 5th gear when the fluid leaked out the output shaft seal.
Called me to pick it up, and the Battery light was on, so it wasn't charging.. hence that, the p/s failed. Had to get back to the shop to run it.
Keeps it over night, this is Friday 19th, I ask if I can come get it on Sat so we can look at the alt issue. ( I had one expressed overnight in case) I go down to get it, and I asked on the phone if they could charge the battery so I could drive it back to the shop. Get down there.. and it won't even turn over the battery is so dead... Take his car back (still have my shop to run) they charge the battery and deliver my car.
We are UBER busy, so I call my uncle to come swap the alt out. He does, still the same effect. Unsure if the temp display was like this before, but now when you turn the key, it counts down from 0, -1, -2, -3, -4, -13 and holds @ -13C. My Uncle spends a few hours tracing wires and connections, testing different circuits, looking for blown fuses, nothing.
Scanned the engine with a Snap-On MODIS received a P1627 - which as near as we can tell is voltage related.
Any thoughts, I found another thread on here, that also had a 1627, but theirs was in combination with P0300, P0301.
