Help. CEL again.... with dealer diagnostic screenshot

This is the R56 of my friend. It's all stock and CEL came on. We have replaced the High Pressure Fuel Pump already but after driving for a few kilometers, CEL came back again.

We are from the Philippines and I will attach a screenshot of the diagnostic result of our MINI dealer. Please post your recommendations on how should we go about this problem.

Your comments will be highly appreciated. Thanks!

It's saying that you're running too rich at idle.

so that wouldn't be a high pressure fuel pump. It can't bias the injectors lean enough (the trim is over 5%).

This also rules out vacuum leaks.

So what it is? So far, the dealer doesn't know what to do with the car. I can;t blame them since MINI Philippines just opened January this year. So their people are still learning

Their people

also go through MINI traning, and have access to the factory support. I honestly don't know what's up. Maybe an injector is staying open? Really, they ought to be escallating this up the Mini food chain. There are some Mini techs on this site that may be able to help....

Paging MINI Techs here on NAM.... Please Help us The one posted here is my friends car. My car is also experiencing the same problem together with 4 other MINI owners. All R56, all US version. I personally has this problem since July 2009. I though with the opening of MINI dealership, my problem would be solved but apparently not...

your running too lean for some reason. Have they smoke tested the intake and exhaust for leaks ? No rats nest in air filter ? No E85 or some kind of funky fuel blend ? Try swapping MAF and pressure sensors from a known good car ?

If you clear the adaptations and test drive it how fast do the adaptation values climb over 3% or so ?

Did they run the test plan for that code ?

From my knowledge, they cleaned the MAF sensor and air intake. Standard local fuel here in the Philippines is 10% ethanol blend with 95 octane.

I think I'll ask them to swap the MAF and pressure sensor as per your suggestion

As for your adaptation question, I don't have any ideas since I'm not a technical person. I'll call up the tech and ask if he can answer your question. All I know is, if they cleared the CEL, it comes back after 20-30 kimometers hehe
