Starting Issue!
Starting Issue!
its been a week since i used my mcs. since there have been a few showers last week i haven't used it. when i tried to start it up it wouldn't start. my headlights would go on and off and the driverside window would go down. is there anything i could do to start it up? or should i just send it out to the shop via tow truck?
thanx,
danny

check the battery . . .
an 06 means the battery is quite possibly toast
I'll bet you can jump start the car
But I would not trust any auto part store test or recharge . . . factory battery is a bit funky on these testers
I'd buy a new battery

I second the battery......the OEM's seem to have a uneven reputation at best...but most seem to fail at the 36-42 month range (especially if the car is not a daily driver, and is not kept on a battery maintainer)....coincidentally when the warranty expires!!
If jump-starting the car fails....and you are not the handy type....I'd send it to the shop.
If you are handy...then you could do some simple trouble shooting. Do you hear a click or clunk when you try to start it? If you did check the voltage, what did you have?
It is not common, but a few folks have had the engine imoblizer "re-aligned" by the dealer.....so when all else fails, even if the starter, relays, etc all check out...you still may need to get the dealer involved.
Most likely this is not the case, but it is often overlooked.
