2004 MC (non-S) Is My CVT Shot?

My car's transmission is currently in EP mode and the car won't go above 10 MPH/2000 RPM. It's not making any weird noises either --it sounds perfectly normal.

I'm hoping it's something electrical because the car been acting really funky. Examples of funky: All gauges and indicator lights have remained on even with the car off and the key removed --disconnecting the battery was necessary to turn them out. The ENGINE has remained on for about five seconds with the car off and key removed. Neither of those scenarios have repeated since they happened a few days ago.

Can someone please give me some kind of insight or possible explanations?

Thanks.
