So my shifter has been repeatedly popping out lately. It usually happens when I go from 1st-2nd or 3rd-4th motion. A few times i would be starting on a green light and suddenly it would come out and I would have to fool around with it and pop it back in to continue moving (while enduring the harassing car honks from behind). I'm just wary because god forbid it causes an accident... Anyone else having this problem? Fixes?

 

mine did that as well.. I just placed it back on and hit it with a rubber mallet and no problems since.. It's a friction fit on the shaft,
