HELP Dealer messed up clutch install

Hello,

The dealer took the car on Monday to do work on the flywheel chattering issue. I have an 06 MCS.
I picked it up yesterday. Now to give a little background the clutch pedal felt tight (as in it had pressure) all the way, from top til you hit the floor. After they installed the new clutch and flywheel the clutch pedal is very lose as in you can kick it and it flaps up and down until almost the bottom where you can feel the pressure for just a tiny bit and that's when the clutch engages.
It is hard to get it in gear. There is very little give when you release the clutch pedal.
I would have to wait until Monday to bring it back to the dealer but in the mean time I have to work this weekend and I was wondering if it could be a clutch pedal adjustment.. if so has anyone done it?

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Did you use something to clamp the slave and what method did you use to bleed the system ?

I second what BRG said though, but this is a dealer we are talking about so who knows.

When i had my slave cylinder replaced they bled my clutch/brake lines but couldn't figure it out. They kept getting air pockets, so they let it sit over night, and i drove it home with a little bit of play, and it just went away after a couple days.

This week the dealer replaced my clutch under warranty due to noise when the clutch was released. Now I have very little clutch pedal feel. The pedal goes to the floor with very little resistance. I like a clutch pedal with some resistance, like it was originally. However, it does seem to engage and disengage just fine.

Anyone else have this experience after a dealer clutch replacement and what was the resolution?

The paperwork from the dealership says they installed:
- Twin Mass Flywheel
- Set Remanufactured clutch parts
- Guide Tube
- Dowel

Due to the distance I am from the dealer, I had Mini roadside assitance pickup the car and take it to the dealer so I did not get to drive the car until it was back home and two hours from the dealer. I called the Mini SA when I received the car yesterday afternoon but he has still not returned by call.

I had my brakes flushed in my old '02 MCS once at the dealership. They were too soft afterward. I live across the water, and it's about an hour drive for me to go back. So I got up with a couple of certified mechanic friends and bled them again. One of them said that the BMW brake flush machine is not that reliable. Not sure about that; maybe it was just the mechanic there.

The clutch always felt like the friction point was too low (about 2/3 pedal distance). The clutch in my '06 MCS is better. Definitely less pedal travel.
