PDC no longer working after new clutch was installed by dealership.
Is it a coincidence or did they forget to reconnect something?
My MINI is now out of warranty so I don't want to pay them to fix
something that I may be able to fix my self.
Any suggestions??

 

Check to see if the fuse for the power steering fan is blown - this will disable PDC.

 

So, uh, what's PDC then?

 

Park Distance Control.
Two things to look at,
First make sure they plugged in the rev light switch on the trans, if the rev lights dont work either the switch is most likely unplugged.
Second, the fuse to the PDC is also for the P/S fan, if the fan locks up or is going bad it will blow the fuse and the pdc will not sound but the rev lights will still work.

On the R52-53 W11 Cooper S The rev light switch is located on the back of the trans under the air box area under the shift linkage. You may be able to see it thru the driver side wheel area as well, you would likely have to remove the tire.
