It does not work with a new fob battery. Plus car battery was replaced in January. Just makes clicking sounds when door handle button is pressed.

Did you scan the system with a good scan tool like schwaben, might be the sensors themselves or the CA module.

Ok, yep you are going to have the scan the system for faults related to the CA or door lock section. Just auto scan the whole car and see what comes up. This tool is not like others, its for MINI and finds all those weird internal codes like the dealership would find.

They are not prewired. You have to find the wiring and splice into the system. After that, you need to recode the CAS and JBE to recognize the system. Then you need to program new keyfobs that have the CA option. The unknown issue now is if the original CAS can support the CA option in terms of having correct software.

Internal only. Before changing the wiring harness, check the wiring diagram. You might be able to splice in some wires and other wires are independent (go to the antennas).

i just looked at the wiring diagram. it is not that complicated really. you need 5 antennas, power, k-can tap, a wire to the rearview mirror, a wire to the wakeup signal, and door handles. the issue is programming the new keyfobs.

I do have a mini with CA and one without, I might try swapping the CAS and program a new key to see if it will fully function.
