Broken headlight washer door!
Broken headlight washer door!
So, today I noticed that my passenger side daytime running light was blown. I was near a MINI dealer and $36 bucks later I was in business. I came home, replaced the bulb, closed the hood and bang. The chrome headlight washer door fell off. The tab on one side of the black arm that shoots out broke. The actual door or cover is fine. Is there an easy fix or do I have to buy a whole new washer unit? It almost looks like the tab on the end of the stick is replacable. That would be to good to be true, and to easy of a fix. I think headlight washers are so stupid, I wish my car didn't even have them.
You could try some strong double sided tap to hold it down. That's what's been holding down my headlight rings for the past couple of months now.
Or you can try finding a replacement part.
I got these part numbers from http://www.realoem.com. Realoem also says they should be around 11.41
Left - 63126922155
Right - 63126922156
You can try giving your local dealer a call. Rockauto didn't return any results.

As far as the washers go, you could probably not fill them up with fluid, and just disconnect the hoses to them. I know a bunch of people have disconnected them. I'm considering doing it myself since all it does is dirty up my hood.
