what is it and how do i remove it?

I have an 09 mcs and after taking delivery i have noticed this sticky clear/yellowish substace coming out of certain points on my car. it must be something they put to ward off rust during shipment. it's stained the black plastic above my tires and is coming from somewhere under my hatch in the back and i can't get it off the paint! when it first comes out it's kind of like a grease. i removed some but as time has gone on i couldn't catch it all and now i hope my little car isn't permanantly scarred! anybody have the same experience? how can i fix it?

Do a thread search for cosmoline. There is a world of discussion about that subject.
