Random light bulb icon?

Did a bit of searching on here and couldn't find anything...

About a month ago the light bulb icon randomly came on for about 10 seconds; it has happened again about twice since then.

As far as I know all the exterior lights are working properly, the only light that's out on the whole car is the entry light on the bottom of the driver's door which I broke when changing the speakers about a year ago and haven't got around to fixing yet.

Only other problem with the car is that the gas gauge sometimes reads half empty when the tank is near-full (discussed in lots of other threads). Which I'm pretty sure is unrelated.

It could be that light bulb or it's possible that one of the light bulbs are loose.

I had a parking light bulb fall out of the socket, now it is loose inside the lens fixture. Maybe yours is about to fall out and is momentarily breaking contact with the socket.

Yeah, I thought it might be something like that. I'll mention it when I have it in for service next.

I had the same problem, the warning would only come on intermittenly, and when I'd get out to check, they'd all be working.

Ended up being a bad fog light bulb. I found this out because I upgraded the bulbs and as I pulled the driver's side one out I noticed a piece of metal barely making contact, whereas the other side was fine.

Once the new bulbs were in all was fine.
