Something is killing my ballast
Something is killing my ballast
I was having problems with my Xenons flickering and then going out. So, I replaced both bulbs and the driver side ballast. Worked perfectly for about 2 months. Now the driver side light is out again.
Anyone know what upstream of the ballast might be causing it?
TIA,
Derek

Sorry to hear about your issues. I had poor luck with my 2003 MCS Xenons whereas the passenger-side xenon would take multiple attempts to ignite and I was able to figure out it wasn't the bulb or ballast. Unfortunately I had to replace the control module and afterwards it worked without issue until I sold the car. Expensive, but in my situation it's what solved it. I can't remember how easy it is to remove the control module from it's housing (I think it's well sealed) to swap between driver and passenger side for troubleshooting, but I'd try that if possible after examining the ground and electrics. Good luck.
