Just curious...about when does the 1st service inspection occur? I changed my oil somewhere around 4500 and I've got nearly 13k now. It's nearly time for my "first" oil change but the indicator hasn't said anything about the first inspection. Also, I was expecting the maintenance indicator to display a number of miles to the oil change and a number of miles to the inspection. Mine has never said anything about the inspection. Since it was new it's only displayed the number of miles to the oil change. So, when does it start warning you of the impending inspection? My car has been looking forward to it's first oil change for 13000 miles. You'd think it would give me a little advance notice of the inspection.

 

i did my first oil change the same time you did and we must drive the same. i'm at 13K miles and my indicator just told me to take it in. when you turn on the car it should flash the number of miles till your service is due.

 

The count on the inspection doesn't start until after your first oil change. Once you get the dealer oil change the display will say inspection instead of oil. The first inspection is approx 15k AFTER the first oil change.

God Minh you need to stop washing that car and start driving it!!!

 

Thanks. That's what I needed to know. I figured it'd start flashing the "inspection due" message about the time I got home from the 300 mile round trip to the dealer.
