Hi,

I have a problem with the steering wheel. The steering have a HUGE play in the steering. If the wheels aren't turned at all, I can play with the steering for 1-1,5inch (left/right) but if I turn the wheels the play in the steering wheel drop at less than 0,5inch. I can also ear a weird clunking sound that seems to be in the steering column when I turn the steering to park the car or when the car is not moving.

The tie-rod end are in good shape.

My car is :

Cooper 2002
No mods
120 000Km

Sounds like #4 is loose / missing. You can access it from underneath the car.
