I'm getting ready to stripe the roof of my cr/w 2003 mc, and I need to know how I go about removing the antenna to install the stripe. Any one know a quick and painless way to do this? I know the antenna itself just screws on, I need to know how to remove the base.

The black base to the antenna also screws off, just give it a twist and it should come right off.

Ordering one custom, haven't seen any roof stripes made up of small squares here in central Ohio. I drew it on Autocad, scaled it down to 1/28 and taped it on a diecast....looks pretty good to me. Good enough that i'm gonna try it on the big one!!
