Rain sensor troubles
Rain sensor troubles
need help.. my car was in the shop and the garage had to remove my front windshield and now my rain sensor does not seem to be working, any thoughts
1st, make sure it is plugged in. There is a wire coming out from the headliner that plugs in to the box behind the mirror.
There is a special adhesive pad that must be used to hold the sensor to the window. When I had my windshield replaced, we tried just using translucent tape, and it didn't work. Then my window guy went back and found the part number for a "rain sensor pad".

youre spot on cube! the wires were cut, i purchased the connector from the dealership, but do not know how to wire it up. i got the connector with 3 seperate wires. the tricky part is that the connector can accomodate 4 wires, therfore, i do not know which connector hole to leave empty. also, i do not know which wire (from the headliner) goes where in the connector (slot 1, 2, 3, or 4). ill try to look for the pins in the sensor to see if they start far left or far right, and then ill switch around
hello again, i removed the rain sensor and there are 4 pins in the connector socket. if anyone has a couple of minutes, can you please remove the rain sensor cover and take a pic of the wires going into the connector of the rain sensor while it is connected and when it is not...this would be greatly appreciated
