Has NE1 changed horns in their mini?
I installed a Fiamm air horn in mine. I hooked the pump up to one lead and put the low-tone factory horn on the left (drivers side). One of the MINI aftermarket companies sells a special bracket with this type of horn, but it mounts under the hood and much of the sound is absorbed by the hood insulation if you do that. Instead I bought the 2 trumpet Fiamm horn for cheap at the local parts store and put the air pump in the passenger side cowl and the trumpets (connected by long tube) in the bumper where the one of the 2 factory horns are. With the low-tone factory horn connected you can give nice polite blips of the horn, but lay on it and the air horn kicks in after a split-second and it sounds like a friggin train!
