I just went outside this morning and noticed the front right wheel lip trim along the hood is missing. I went over to the other side and noticed that one is loose as well. You can see where one fastener has popped out.
I didn't notice it falling off but, it kind of irks me that it did. I have a '02 MCS with about 22,000 miles on her. I really have had no trouble with her and I guess I'm wondering if anyone else has lost their trim? :???:

Lost mine after a cab hit my left front fender (just behind the headlight) when I was parked. The cab didn't knock off the trim, but the space created between the body/dent and the trim allowed the airflow to pull the trim off. The next piece down (behind the front wheel) eventually pulled off too. Until I get the dent fixed, I'm without trim on the front fender, and it looks AWFUL!.

The good news is that trim pieces are cheap. The better news is that they should be free for you, since you have no other damage...should be warranty.

I feel your pain, though.

About the missing trim? I still didn't get the part as you are trying to explain on the forums. Any pic to show us?

AC...The trim is the big black plastic piece on the passengers side above tne front wheel. It is held on to the bottom of the hood with 4 fasteners.
I called Keeler Mini in Latham NY and then drove right over. The Body shop manager insisted that the trim will not fall off and that something had to happen to it. I know it was there yesterday morning and although my daughter and I went for a ride (gorgeous day for a ride in upstate NY), we never stopped anywhere. The car remained in my driveway the rest of the day. I live in the country and there is just no way anyone would come to my house and steal a piece of trim of a MCS.
Anyway, they had the trim and fasteners in stock and the price was only $40. For $40 it was not worth arguing over so had them fix it. They did give the car a wash so I guess I am happy. I'm out $40, but I am Happy
