My '04 mcs just arrived at the dealer and nobody has heard of being able to program my doors to unlock when I put my emerg. brake on and take the key out of the ignition. They said they haven't received any service bulletin on it, but they can do all my other preferences...lock the doors @ 10mph, etc. If anyone knows, please tell me what to tell them to do (IE the sequence) or what service bulletin to ask for or something so they don't think I have lost my mind. (My wife thinks it's too late for that)

I have not heard of this as a programable feature unless it is new for the '04.

I have it activated on my car and it works. I have a 2004, but I believe this feature was available in 03s as well. In fact, I found out about it by doing a search on MCO. Here is the link:

With my parking brake pulled up, when I turn the key from 1 to 0, my car unlocks.

It is NOT a new feature, and dealers should be able to program it. Hope this helps.

I have an 04 mcs and asked my dealer to program the un-lock feature before delivery. Said he hadn't heard about it until my request... said he would contact "someone at miniusa". Before I left, they told me the un-lock feature was programed in. Mine works (unlocks the doors) as soon as I turn the vehicle off, emergency brake doesn't have to be pulled.
